The Mission

The primary purpose of NOLATAC Training Center is to serve as the premier location for law enforcement, military, and responsibly armed citizens to train in firearms, defense, driving, and tactical training while also serving the needs of the local shooting sports community. We endeavor to be a safe, fun, and full service venue for all the areas firearms users. 

We will be hosting year-round training of all levels and types. We will also be hosting bachelor & bachelorette parties, corporate team-building events, competitions of all disciplines and sizes, and machine-gun and silencer shoots. Also expect to see concerts and gun shows in the future.

 Membership Requirements

All applicants will be required to:

  • Complete a full criminal background check
  • Attend mandatory NTC range safety training prior to range use
  • Articulate a solid understanding of the four primary firearms safety rules
  • Demonstrate competency before being allowed on any particular range  
Members will be able to utilize the range by appointment with range staff and will be furnished a Range Safety Officer to assist with range activities.

Range Facilities

Current and future range assets include pistol/rifle/shotgun bays for 180 degree setup, a fully enclosed bay for near 360 degree setup, skeet area, shootable 70MPH drones, and long range rifle line capable of .50 Cal out to 1300 yards, physical combat training area, covered shooting bays, on-site wireless internet, a cafe, and many other amenities.  


Pistol/Rifle Bays

We have multiple pistol/rifle bays in sizes from 100 X 100 yards, to 25 X 25 yards. The bays have berms on 3 sides offering a 180 degree range of motion for practical, tactical, and competition shooting. More importantly, we have the means to specifically configure bays and build to suit for hosting all manner of events. 


Long Range Rifle

Our rifle line can accommodate ranges up to 1300 yards. The elevated shooting platform features a climate controlled shooting room and a large deck for prone positions as well as field level prone shooting decks. Steel targets and a Bullseye Camera system allows you to see your shots on an IPAD. 

Multiple side-by-side ATV's will be available for member use. 


Clays and Trap

We have a field area for recreational clay target shooting and other shotgun sports. 


We will have a "Drone Hunter" station where you can shoot down drones with a shotgun.

NOLATAC Training Center is located on the NOLA MotorSports Park in Avondale LA just 20 minutes from New Orleans.
